Educational Pieces
On this page you will find access to some of my work which is directly related to education.
Students Rights
This is a research project I conducted which focused on the First Amendment, Dress Codes, and Uniforms. The first document contains a PowerPoint with information regarding the First Amendment, Dress Codes, and Uniforms, especially in how they apply to the school setting. The second document is a lesson plan designed to utilize this information.

Learning Opportunities
The following PowerPoint contains information on different types of learning offered in Middle Schools and High Schools including Advanced Placement classes, International Baccalaureate Classes and Special Education. This was a group project completed by myself and some of my fellow classmates. We used it to teach our class and then implement a mini-lesson which consisted of a debate on the pros and cons of these particular education programs.

Vision Statement
Below is a button that will direct you to my vision statement for my classroom.
ELL Inquiry Paper
The following button will direct you to a paper I wrote on how I plan to assist all students, but especially those who are considered English Language Learners, with becoming more proficient with reading, writing, and the English language.
Performance Assessment 1
Below is a button that will direct you to a lesson plan that was used for my first Performance Assessment as a Teacher Candidate. Specifically, this lesson focused on a jigsaw activity in which students researched various figurative language terms, created posters, and then presented them to the rest of the class.
Performance Assessment 2
Below is a button that will direct you to a lesson plan that was used for my second Performance Assessment as a Teacher Candidate. Specifically, this lesson focused on the students working together in groups to read a section of the Odyssey text, creating a powerpoint on the plot, character, conflict, theme, and setting of that section of the text, and then present their presentation to the rest of the class.
Performance Assessment 3
Below is a button that will direct you to a lesson plan that was used for my third Performance Assessment as a Teacher Candidate. Specifically, this lesson focuses on finding themes in literature novels. Through a fun pizza party activity, students worked together to discover the themes of a novel.
Performance Assessment 4
Below is a button that will direct you to a lesson plan that was used for my fourth and final Performance Assessment as a Teacher Candidate. Specifically, students were asked to form groups and then using pre-specified props to create a skit. Then, all students performed their skits. Once this was done, students compared the skits to find similarities so that we could uncover why stories often share similar motifs and themes.
Sample Lesson
I created the following lesson plan which teaches students how to integrate quotes into sentences. Below the document is a Prezi presentation which I utilized during my mini-lesson plan.
